The Orygen Parkville site is located right behind the Melbourne Zoo. It's a huge piece of land with a cool old hospital building that we've painted purple and transformed into a youth friendly service. The site takes full advantage of the beautiful surrounds by establishing garden areas to chill out in, an abundant vegie patch, and if you listen out carefully you can even hear the lions and monkeys up at the zoo!

Orygen chose our locally manufactured AURIGA pedestal chargers not only because they charge every car on sale in Australia but also because they offer the maximum AC rate or 22kW for the any electric car or EV.

And with EVUp's UpCharge, with the click of a mouse, Orygen have the power to decide and change how much they charge for electricity.

They can even switch between free vend, QR code, RFID or Paypass. For now, orygen have elected to offer the charging amenity for free until further notice.

Orygen is thankfully all about supporting local, hence they opted the full Australian option of the AURIGA plus the Aussie developed, supported and hosted UpCharge management software.

When we say local, we mean local. The lead coders live in Glen Iris, Canterbury and Camberwell. The support dudes and dudettes live in a combination of Frankston and "somewhere in the West".
